How to Lose Belly Fat: Latest Secrets from the Research Labs, Part 3
As many as 5 million Americans are now estimated to have undiagnosed diabetes. Researchers in Asia are now calling diabetes a “worldwide pandemic.”
The link between belly fat obesity and lurking diabetes is frightening. If you have excess abdominal fat, your risk of diabetes is now estimated by some researchers to be 77 times higher than a non-obese person.
How to Lose Belly Fat: Secret #3 - hGH
In the last article, I discussed some research on the link between hormone therapy and belly fat. This time, we’re going to look at the most powerful hormone therapy ever tested for reducing belly fat- human growth hormone.
Numerous clinical studies have shown that increasing hGH levels has a profound effect on abdominal fat.
British researchers reported in 1997 that hGH “has been shown to reduce intra-abdominal fat by 47%,” in adults with both large amounts of abdominal fat and reduced growth hormone levels.
If you’re 25 years old, hGH therapy probably won’t help you. But as we age, our hGH levels fall. And our chances of obesity, diabetes and heart disease increase. By returning hGH levels to a more youthful hormone level, scientists are producing these and other remarkable anti-aging results.
hGH therapy has its drawbacks. It’s expensive, and must be administered via injection. There are
also potential side effects. The optimal human dose has yet to be determined.
Another drawback that appears in some studies on hGH therapy: it seems to increase insulin resistance in some subjects.
Human growth hormone replacement therapy is not for everyone- at least not yet- and should not be undertaken without the strict supervision of a physician. The first step is to have your hGH levels tested. If they’re not low, there is no need to replace them.
So far, there is no reliable scientific evidence that hGH supplements- pills, sprays, or any other form- actually work at all.
If you can’t afford hGH injections, or just don’t like the potential risks, there are completely natural ways to stimulate the release of the growth hormone your body already makes. We’ll discuss one of those in the next article- don’t miss it!
