Some Side effects of coq10

Many people wonder at the question, are there side effects of COQ10? It is a known fact that many nutritional supplements that have various positive health effects on the body also are sometimes known to have side effects. As an overall substance, COQ10 appears to be one of the safest nutrients. Our bodies even naturally produce the COQ10 substance and we can sometimes suffer deficiencies when our body is not producing enough. As the body ages, our natural COQ10 production levels tend to decline. For this reason, many people across the world are turning to COQ10 supplements to meet their body's needs.

Of course, the potential side effects of COQ10 are an important factor to consider, as is the case with any supplement you begin taking. While no recommended daily allowance of COQ10 has ever been established, experts tend to agree that a dosage between 30 milligrams to 100 milligrams per day is sufficient. People who suffer from conditions such as angina, congestive heart failure, Parkinson's disease, or kidney failure, are often found using

higher dosage, somewhere in the ballpark of 150 milligrams to 200 milligrams per day. Doses of up to 400 milligrams per day have been reported with no significant side effects, but it is generally not recommended to take a dosage this extreme.

Before taking COQ10, as with any new substance, it is recommended to consult a physician about its use. Our bodies react differently to different substances and it's important to know all the facts. The side effects of COQ10, however rare they may be, can include dizziness, nausea, insomnia, and headaches. Another important factor to consider would be watching your blood sugar if on diabetes and taking this supplement. Glucose levels can drop while taking COQ10. Also, those on the blood thinner known as warfarin are advised to speak with a physician before beginning a COQ10 regimen, as the supplement may interfere with the warfarin's functioning.
